RVC Newcomer's Club Charity for the 2009-2010 Season

Welcome to a new and exciting year for the Newcomers Club! We are all looking forward to a lot of great events, to catching up with old friends and making new ones.

The charity we have chosen to support this year is going to be Camp ANCHOR. Camp ANCHOR is an organization dedicated to Assisting the Needs of Children living with Handicaps through Organized Recreation. ANCHOR also provides services for adults living with special needs. Programs run year-round and most of the staff work as volunteers.

Participants in the ANCHOR program enjoy sports, music, dance, arts and crafts, home economics, swimming, field trips, and other special events like performances by live bands, carnivals, BBQs, field days, swim festivals, puppet theatres, and much more. The money to cover many of these programs are provided by donations, and we on the board of Newcomers are looking forward to sponsoring and facilitating events throughout the year that will help raise money for such a great cause!

We look forward to working with and supporting Camp ANCHOR and to a great year ahead with our friends and neighbors.
